How did you end up deciding to play trombone?

What made me stick with the trombone and switch eventually to bass was the inspiration I got from the bass players older than me, in middle and later high school. The bass player who I sat next to in 7th played so well that I wanted to play just like him, and that motivated me to move to bass. The bass player older than both of us in freshman and sophomore year played so well that I wanted to be just like him, so I practiced my tail off until I could play (somewhat) like him.
